Check-In
When arriving at Eurotunnel, just drive up to Check-In and quote your booking reference number.
You will be asked to show the credit/debit card used to make the booking. The cardholder must also be in the vehicle for a travel document to be issued. This step has been brought in as a measure to protect our customers against credit card fraud.
If you have not booked, you will be allocated a place on the earliest available shuttle. You can pay in euros or pounds, with cash, by credit card or by cheque.
You are requested to arrive at Check-In at least 30 minutes before your booked departure time. For your safety and the safety of others, please avoid overfilling your petrol tank.
Border Control
You drive through both French and British customs and passport controls before boarding, with no checks on arrival.
Don't forget to take your vehicle documentation, insurance and breakdown cover too!
Boarding
Boarding is easy, you just drive on following directions from our staff. Once inside the shuttle you can sit back and relax in your vehicle or stretch your legs for the 35-minute journey.
Toilets are situated in every third carriage of the double-deck trains.
Visual display screens keep you informed about your journey and Eurotunnel staff are available to answer any questions.
Enjoy the ride!
Drive off
You drive off the shuttle after a 35-minute crossing, out of the terminal and straight onto the motorway.
Don't forget to drive on the right in France, and on the left back in the UK. For help with planning your onward journey, click here.
A Total petrol station with toilet facilities and mini-supermarket is located on the exit road.
